The possible existence of antimatter at astrophysical and cosmological scales is considered. The case of spontaneous breaking of charge symmetry in elementary particle interactions, which leads to a matter-antimatter symmetric universe equally populated by galaxies and by anti-galaxies, is discussed in detail. The mechanisms of baryogenesis based on the evaporation of black holes are also reviewed. It is shown that the primordial black hole model of 1993 may lead to a noticeable population of our Galaxy with different forms of antimatter, and observational manifestations of the latter are presented. Keywords: antimatter, antistars, primordial black holes, baryogenesis, CP violation, antinuclei Contribution for the JETP special issue dedicated to black hole physics (Hawking black hole evaporation)
